All my adult life I have worked with children from pre-school to 20-21 year old young adults in a variety of roles, helping them to accomplish Occupations which held meaning to them and their care-takers. I have been an Outward Bound Instructor, a rock climbing instructor, camp counselor, art teacher, mental health case manager, and an Occupational Therapist. Currently, I am the team leader for a small Assistive Technology Program in a mid-sized public school district in the North Carolina. As such, my focus is on how technology can be used in an academic setting to increase a student’s occupational performance either by the student personally using the technology, or their teachers and therapists utilizing technology on the student’s behalf.
In addition to my work life, I am blessed with a rich existance. I am very happily married to the smartest, sweetest, and hottest woman in the world. I have two boys who make me think about what it means to be a man today. I am an avid mountain biker. I hold a first degree black belt in To-Shindo Ninjutsu. I coach high school wrestling. I also am an artist, making large oil paintings of folks engaged in their everyday occupations.
So you see, I am indeed very rich.
